Root-Clustering Criteria (III): The Rational-Mapping Approach
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Technion Israel Institute of Technology Haifa, Israel
The third approach to root clustering is based on a rational mapping. By sacrificing root distribution in favour of root clustering, we simplify the restrictions on the admissible region considerably. However, while the root-clustering criterion is simple, we are not able to specify, in a simple manner, the class of admissible regions. Instead, we present an algebraic procedure for constructing all such regions.
