Augmentation of Several Newly Developed Algorithms for Integrated System Optimization and Parameter Estimation of Large-Scale Industrial Processes: Convergence Analysis and Comparative Study

A variable-augmentation technique is introduced into four newly developed algorithms for integrated system optimization and parameter estimation (ISOPE) with the aim of increasing on-line efficiency and reducing sensitivity of the gain factors which have to be specified by the user. Convergence analysis is provided for each of the four augmented algorithms. Computer simulation studies of these algorithms applied to three examples of different properties are also presented.
