   Abstract

This paper deals with the problem of gain-scheduled H{infty}-output feedback controller design for a class of parameter-varying systems with time-varying delays. By introducing equations involving free-weighting matrices, a new condition for the stability and H{infty}-performance analysis of the resulting closed-loop system is obtained. Based on this, a sufficient condition for the existence of a desired gain-scheduled H{infty}-output feedback controller is derived and expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). When these LMIs are feasible, an explicit expression of the desired controller is given. Numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed design method.

Keywords: gain-scheduled control; H{infty}-output feedback; linear fractional transformation; parameter-varying systems; time-varying delays.
