Bilaterally Canonical Normal Symmetric Realizations

JlNGBO WU

Department of Computer and System Sciences, Nankai University Tianjin, China

Discrete-time systems which can be realized on Hilbert spaces are considered. Conditions for the existence of symmetric realizations, especially normal symmetric realizations, are given. The spectral minimality problem is also discussed.
